"Publicly subsidized! Privately profitable!" That's the anthem of the upper-tier (the puppeteer untouchable). We focus a moment, Nod in approval And bury our head back in the bar-codes of these neo-colonials
While our former nemesis (ah, the romance!): The nation-state, now plays fund-raiser For a new brand of power-concentrate. Try again, but now we're confused- What is "class-war"? Is this class war? Yes, this is class war.
And I'm just a kid- I can't believe that I gotta put up with this kind of shit! What a stupid world! Yeah, this is just beautiful... absolutely no regard for principle. What a stupid world.
(We're): 1) born 2) hired 3) disposed! Where that job lands, everybody knows And you can tell by the smile on the CEO's That the environmental restraints are about to go. You can bet that laws will be set To ensure the benefit of unrestricted labor-laws (all kept in place by displaced government death squads).
They own us. They produce us. They consume us. Can you fucking believe this? What a stupid world. Fuck this bullshit display of class-loyalties. The media and "our" leaders wrap it all up in a flag- their fucking shit-rag. hooray! "
-Propaghandi "...And we Thought Nation States Were A Bad Idea."

"And you came upon me wave on wave, You're the reason I'm still here. Am I the one you were sent to save, when you came upon me wave on wave. The clouds broke and the angels cried, You ain't gotta walk alone, That's why he put me in your way, " -Pat Green "Wave On Wave"

"She lies and says she still loves him. Can't find a better man. She dreams in color, she dreams in red. Can't find a better man. Can't find a better man.
She loved him, yeah. She don't want to leave this way. She feeds him, yeah. That's why she'll be back again. Can't find a better man."

[glow=red,2,300]Politicians hide themselves away They only started the war Why should they go out to fight? They leave that role to the poor
Time will tell on their power minds Making war just for fun Treating people just like pawns in chess Wait ’till their judgement day comes, yeah! [/glow]

Oooh! I love Sabbath. Here, let me try:
"Revolution in their minds, The children start to march. Against the world in which they have to live With all the hate that's in their hearts!"
How's that?

I don't know how other people feel, but being adopted, this is how I feel, and this is what I want to say to people that ask me if I even give two shits about my "real" parents. A recent conversation about it spurred it on and well, to whoever bore me, pay attention:
"Why was I born? Sometimes I wish I didn't know Been times when I wish that I had just never been Why did you have me? Or better yet why'd you leave? So to the people that could fuck But then abandoned me
(...) You never could love me I'm glad that you never did My parents that raised me Had plenty of that to give And for that I'll love them forever with all my heart But to you Don't let there be no mistake about it Fuck you, you cocksucker Fuck you, you whore I'll live my life the opposite of what you are
Love will be my rock The rock that I stand on (...)
Don't try to reach out to me Don't try to call The boy that you created Is dead for all you fucking know You just pretend you've never heard or seen The name Lawrence Mathew Cardine"
-Machinehead "Left Unfinished"
Makes me wanna sing this song to my Daddy, strongest man I ever saw. Man Machinehead got the new North Am contract so this album is coming out this Spring. If any of you haven't heard anything off of "Through The Ashes Of Empires" you are really missing out. This is why we are Metalheads. This is the reason heavy music was made. This album is so without a flaw, that I can't stop listening to it. Over and over and over and over.
Though in retrospect, this song means a great deal to me. So, I guess that's why I posted it. Sure many might think that it's overbearing or whatnot, but I don't care. Some kids feel like this, me being one of 'em. An it makes me think of my father. He is a real good man.

Yo Dallas! This album was released initially in Britain. Go an pick it up. We had someone nice enough to send us some copies, you won't be sorry amigo. "I hate me for this weakness Faith drives me to carry on And take the road less travelled on Resentment swallowed means to drown The poison down The shades of night descend" -Machinehead " Decend The Shades Of Night" I mean it's great! If you wanna hear one of the best songs on the album with the complete, un edited video check out "Imperium" at: www.machinehead1.com/media.html cause it fucking rocks.

tight as a Nun's C**T those guys. I've been listening to Obituary lately and some other heavy stuff being played in England. I have been playing through the Marshall Mode 4 at work after hours making up metal riffs and chugging for fun, great feeling to hear that stuff loud. I'm recently working on my playing to sound more like turkish oboes and clarinet music. Using feedback and distortion to make the notes sound more like a human voice. Eastern influence has always fascinated my creative side. Metal will live forever. I just read an article in this months VICE mag about metal in IRAQ. There are dudes that have been thrashing back against the crap there and they sound as hard as nails. Long live heavy metal.

METAL FOREVER is fucking right. Mike A was always one of those people that got it. When you're a Metalhead you're not learning to like it, you're born into it. It hooks you, and there's no fucking escape. It's like part of you man.
You know, I can dig almost any kind of music, but Metal? That's the one standard I can never give up. The new Machinehead album proves it. Every time I start to loose faith in the heavy music, something like Through The Ashes Of Empires comes along and reminds me why it is that this music is not only my passion, but my fucking life. Yeah yeah, say what you want, I know it sounds cheesy. But those that would say that it's cheesy haven't heard this album.
I strongly reccomend everyone check out the video for Imperium that I posted above and then petition !Bang to do that song, because not only is it an incredibly fucking amazing song, but it's message (like all songs on the album) is both beautiful, powerful and posative. Like bands like Hatebreed and Slayer, not many metal bands carry messages like that. This album is a fucking WORK OF ART! I will NOT put anything else in my CD player yet! Nothing can compare!
It's like they say: "Anyone at any time, past or present, Which has bought, seen or allowed Machinehead into their ears and into their hearts, THANK YOU."
Dunno man, it's like, No.. thank YOU!!
